Save the date: 5-8/11 - Welcome Interinstitutional EMAS Days 2024!

As it gets colder outside, we are getting warmer from the inside – by sharing sustainable strategies, plans, and initiatives between our institutionsEU institutions and agencies are already committed and are registered by the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). Together they fight against climate change, increase environmental protection, and reduce greenhouse gasses. 

All to lead by example and help the European Union reach its ambitious climate neutrality target by 2050.

Those EMAS-registered institutions have once again joined forces to organize the EMAS Days from 5 to 8 November 2024

During those days, you can participate in the following online sessions:

  • Session 1: Environmental impact of the new ways of working - Greener buildings & workspaces
  • Session 2: Sustainable conferences and events in the EU institutions
  • Session 3: Sustainable finance: tools for mitigating climate-related risks
  • Session 4: Transitioning traditional food offers in canteen to plant-based, organic and local offer
  • Session 5: New strategies and supporting tools towards sustainable mobility
  • Session 6: Adapting for tomorrow: EU strategies and some tools and examples in climate adaption
  • Session 7: Species conservation and fostering biodiversity in an urban setting
  • Session 8: Lessons learnt from the COVID and the energy crises on the internal environmental agenda in EU institutions and agencies
