The Business Sector's Role in Strengthening Biodiversity

Time and date: 11.30 – 12.30, 11 October 2023

Warm welcome to the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise mingle where our Environmental Policy Expert & Biologist, Karin Nilsson, will present our new book - The Business Sector's Role in Strengthening Biodiversity - and to push other business federations to engage in strengthen biodiversity.

The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise will join the European Business & Biodiversity Platform to Milan, Italy for the European Business & Nature Summit 2023 on 11th of October to present our new book. After we will together discuss the role of companies and business federation’s role in strengthening biodiversity over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Not only are healthy ecosystems a vital prerequisite for both reduced climate change and increased global social sustainability. In addition, more than 50 percent of the world's total GDP is dependent on nature, which means that the decline of biodiversity is a crucial issue for businesses.

Companies are taking actions but there are still knowledge gaps within the business sector and also within business federations. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise wants to help fill in these knowledge gaps trough publishing a book about business sectors role in strengthening biodiversity and to push other business federations to engage in strengthen biodiversity.
