This community event is on invitation only.

The Finance for Biodiversity (FfB) Foundation is planning a side event for their members prior to EBNS. In this meeting, the representatives of the financial institutions (members only) will gather to do a deep dive into the collaborative actions from the FfB Foundation working groups and the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge commitments on topics like engagement with companies, impact assessment and setting targets on nature.

At the end of Day 1 of the Summit, participants will enjoy an evening of cultural entertainment during the cocktail and networking (11 October, 19.30-21.30h) curated by the Italian co-organisers: Etifor, ItaSIF and the Lombardy Region. The Regional Body for Agriculture and Forestry, as partner of the LIFE IP Gestire 2020 project, organizes a technical workshop on 10 and 11 October 2023, in Milan, at Palazzo Pirelli, headquarters of the Lombardy Region. The event intends to present the results achieved by some of the actions of the Gestire 2020 project and use them as a basis for promoting a comparison on various topics, such as biodiversity conservation, governance and the figure of intermediary between European institutions and private individuals. The comparison, in fact, will start from the positive and negative experience gained during the G2020 project and will involve international personalities, from the Alpine Biodiversity Board (Abb), representatives of the macro-regional strategy EUSALP Action Group 6 (AG6-Resources) and 7 (AG7-Green Infrastructure) and an Italian representative of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security. The event will conclude with the drafting of a technical manifesto with the key elements to be delivered to the competent technical and political contacts.

Immersive exhibition tracing the day of a wolf in the Alpine environment through his eyes
From 11 September to 15 October 2023
Space Isola Set - Piazza Città di Lombardia 1, Milano
Free admission
Viewing takes about 15 minutes and admission is allowed to groups of 10 people at a time
The coexistence between man and wolf should start from knowledge; observing through the gaze of the wild animal allows man to change his perspective yet understand better the habits, the way of thinking, the behaviours and the ecological function that the wolf has for our natural environment.
Thanks to immersive technology, visitors will be led to the Alpine places known to man, but experienced with the difficulties, needs and emotions of the wild animal.
In this way the challenge of coexistence between man and wolf will be easier to win.
