Sustainable Public Procurement - identified barriers and the way forward

The 'Sustainable Public Procurement - identified barriers and the way forward' webinar will take place online on the 24th of November 2023, 10:00-12:00 CET. Organised by Swedwatch, EEB and ClientEarth, this webinar aims to discuss barriers to sustainable public procurement practices experienced by contracting authorities, as well as explore both the challenges and opportunities with the legal landscape, the inclusion of social and environmental criteria contract clauses, and what would be needed in terms of political changes to be able to use public procurement as a more effective tool to support sustainable development across EU member states.

It will highlight actions and legislative changes needed to improve sustainable public procurement and mobilise different stakeholders, such as national and local authorities and civil society organisations.
