EMAS Gala in Poland

EMAS expands in Poland with the inclusion of Domel and Aneks Polska, celebrated at a Gala featuring expert insights on the new EU directive for corporate sustainable reporting.

This year, two more companies in Poland joined the EMAS system - Domel Sp. z o. o. and Aneks Polska Sp. z o. o. The certificate presentation happened at a Gala held at the Foksal Press Center.

The event featured EMAS system experts who explained the new EU directive on corporate sustainability reporting (CSRD) and its link to EMAS. The ceremony kicked off with Andrzej Szweda-Lewandowski, the General Director of Environmental Protection, highlighting EMAS as the most trustworthy environmental management system in Poland and Europe.

The event featured EMAS system experts who explained the new EU directive on corporate sustainability reporting (CSRD) and its link to EMAS. The ceremony kicked off with Andrzej Szweda-Lewandowski, the General Director of Environmental Protection, highlighting EMAS as the most trustworthy environmental management system in Poland and Europe.

The lectures included insights from Professor Alina Matuszak-Flejszman from Poznań University of Economics, who talked about "Environmental Reporting under EMAS, ESG, and CSR." She covered non-financial reporting guidelines and tools used in environmental reporting.

Grzegorz Ścibisz, representing Tauron Wytwarzanie S. A., discussed implementing CSRD directive provisions in environmental management systems. His presentation, "New Legal Obligations Regarding Reporting in the Field of Sustainable Development," outlined reporting elements in the three ESG areas: environmental, social, and corporate governance.

The Gala concluded with Małgorzata Stelmaszczyk and Marta Bociek from the Ministry of Climate and Environment sharing solutions and challenges faced by countries using the EMAS system.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures like Łukasz Rejt, Director of the Department of Nature Conservation at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, along with representatives from the Polish Environmental Management Forum and organizations in the EMAS system.
